Day 9 #3

Ok, so I said I was having fun with the paints, I wasn't kidding.  I just couldn't stop.  I love both of these techniques, and I can see myself using them again and again.  I think this is my favorite day so far.

Day 9 #2

Here's my second card.  I matted the watercolor paper on black card stock, but the photo was taken against a dark background, so it is hard to see the black.  I think this looks much better than the first.

Day 9

I had a lot of fun playing around with paint today.  I don't particularly like glitter since it is always so messy.  I have received cards in the mail and had glitter end up all over the place and it takes forever to get rid of, so instead of glitter I used metallic acrylic paint so I still had a bit of shimmer.

Day 7

I managed yet another one layer card - Yippieee!!!  For some reason it seems to take me twice as long to make one of these as it does to make one with several layers.  I like how it turned out.  Thanks for looking :)

Day 4

I always feel the need to add lots of stuff to my cards, but now I'm finding it's nice to keep it simple sometimes:)

Day 2

I have always wanted to try a single layer card, but never knew where to start.  I still think this looks a bit plain, but I'm not sure what else to add.  Any suggestions are appreciated.  Thanks for looking :)

Clean and Simple Card Making 2 Day 1

It is day one of Clean & Simple Card Making 2, and and I am already having fun with my first day of 'homework'.  I've had a busy day, so I wasn't able to do my homework until late, so the picture is a bit dark.  I usually use natural light, and the silver embossing powder was a bit hard to get the right angle so you could see it in the picture.  I really like how fast and fun this card was to make.  Now this is the kind of homework for me!

Supplies used:
black card stock
white card stock
silver embossing powder
Versafine black ink
Outta this world stamp set (Close To My Heart)
Artiste cricut cartridge (Close To My Heart)
